While Tamil actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar exposed her unsavoury experience of the casting couch, the actor of Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer Shigh revealed his unexpected experience on the casting couch. Sadly enough, probably, it is the commonplace situation for all strugglers to achieve a place in the film industry.
The directors and higher authorities of a film industry want to get sexual flavour from the new actors. Even the male celebrities are not out of this victim. The beauty and bold queen Kangana stated that she was asked to get intimate almost after every audition at her initial sage of success. She always relied on her talent and good luck, and so kept refusing all unfair proposals.
This actress vanished from her mid-shy of success all of a sudden. Rajkumar Santoshi approached her on the sets of “China Gate” and asked to indulge in some physical pleasure with her. As soon as she denied him, her role was cut short from the movie and she had to part with the roles of the movies she had signed.
Preeti Jain, an upcoming actress, became the news headlines by blaming Madhur Bhandarkar of rape. She claimed that he was in a sexual relationship with her from 1999 to 2004 on the excuse of casting her in his movies. As he used her for so many years without keeping his words, she hired a professional killer with an amount of 70,000 INR to kill him. The news came to light and she was arrested for murder but she could prove nothing against him.
There is a common conception that women are victimised by the directors and the higher authorities of a film industry or similar other professions. But, the conception is not at all right. Ranveer Singh, the actor of Bajirao Mastani was invited by a casting director to his home in Andheri. He opened his mouth to NDTV also. The “highly sleazy gentleman” said to be “smart and sexy” and asked to be open to “take the touch”.
When he said an absolute “No”, he started to negotiate with him and wanted just to touch or at least see. He was much heartbroken when he heard “No” and became a jilted lover at once.
