Oolong tea is the traditional Chinese tea derived from Camellia Sinensis which is produced through a series of processes. The processes include withering the plant under the strong sun, and then, oxidation process has been going on before the leaves get twisting and curling. Most of the top quality oolong teas are prepared from the top quality tea gardens by the great cultivars. The degree of oxidation ranges from 8% to 85% which depends on the variety of tea leaves and production style. What is oolong tea?

Oolong tea contains the most helpful antioxidants known as tea polyphenols, thearubigins, theaflavins, and EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). All these are liable to maintain your good health. The dietary antioxidants derived from oolong tea help reducing the free radicals in the blood and keeps you fit and youthful.

Oolong tea also contains theanine- an amino acid which is responsible for tea’s energiging and relaxing effect
Oolong tea help prevent diabetes. The antioxidants found in oolong tea (polyphenol antioxidants) help bring control the blood sugar level. This antioxidant is considered increasing the insulting sensitivity.
